Covid-19's Impact on NBA2K League Players (Part 3 of 5)
Written by: Boneman9000
To kick off Season 3 of the NBA 2K League, we linked up with players from multiple teams and across the country to see how they’ve been getting accustomed to being quarantined and remote play. We’re all different in the 2K community, so it was great to see how everyone reacted to the need to stay inside.
In this 5-part series, we get a behind the scenes look into the lives of Ramo (Pistons GT), TOXSIK (Magic Gaming), Lord BEEZUS (Jazz Gaming), Shuttles (Nets Gaming Crew), and oFAB (Celtics Crossover Gaming) to find out exactly how the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted them on both a personal and professional level.
We will also be asking the same questions to the 2K community, so make sure to keep an eye out on twitter (@Boneman9000) for your chance to give your input on the question of the day. It will be interesting to compare the community's answers to the NBA 2K League players.
Most gamers during a time like this can usually crack open an old game or purchase a new one online to conquer. For a pro gamer like yourself sequestered with his coach and/or GM and teammates while practising many hours a day, what do you do that’s not gaming to pass the time?
RAMO, Pistons GT
“To be honest while Being quarantined in the house all day there’s almost nothing to do besides play video games or watch TV shows. Can this just be over already?!”
TOXSIK, Magic Gaming
“It's been tough; I go to the gym a lot, so not being able to go to the gym has been hard. But for the most part, I’ve just been watching TV or streaming in my free time.”
LORD BEEZUS, Jazz Gaming
“I've been cooking a lot more, so that's something I've been trying to be a little more experimental with. Other than that, I'm just watching sports or listening to music.”
SHUTTLES, Nets Gaming Crew
“I've just tried my best to stay active. Whether it’s jump roping, doing at-home exercises, and watching a ton of documentaries.”
oFAB, Celtics Crossover Gaming
“To pass the time right now, I watch a lot of YouTube history and facts videos, and I’m currently reading ‘Can’t Hurt Me’ by David Goggins.”
Tomorrow we’ll come out with part four of this five-part series. We’ll also include how most people fared in today's poll, so be on the lookout for that.
For now, I say to you, Auf Wiedersehen.
